Students will learn: - The ASL alphabet and fingerspelling - Numbers and everyday vocabulary - Basic ASL grammar and sentence structure - Common conversational phrases and questions - Receptive and expressive signing skills - Deaf culture, history, and etiquette - Beginning conversational proficiency through interactive practice No prior knowledge of American Sign Language is required. This course provides an excellent foundation for students interested in communication, languages, education, healthcare, ministry, or simply connecting with the Deaf community.
 
This class is eligible for 1 HS credit.
