Dana Butler

Dana is what keeps our leader on track and grounded.
She has been with The Hub full time since 2024.
While her background is very diverse, she thrives on
keeping things on track and making sure her students
are using their imagination to invent new ways to solve
the STEM challenges.
When Dana is not at The Hub, she is
planning and working events, attending hockey games
or working with their show rabbits.
She and her military veteran spouse share two boys,

Shay Rodriguez
ELA
Hi there! My name is Shay Rodriguez, and I am so excited to be part of this community. I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart for 14 wonderful years, and together we are raising three amazing children who keep life busy and full of joy.
I bring six years of experience in education, all within the elementary level. Working with young learners is truly my passion—I love watching their curiosity grow and helping them build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me spending time with my family, cheering on my kids at their activities, or enjoying a good book or creative project. I can’t wait to get to know each of you and to make this year one full of growth, excitement, and fun!

I began my teaching career in Early Childhood Education in Bayern, Germany. During this period, I gained valuable experience with the Montessori method, in addition to developing a program tailored to for students with special needs. Later, in 2013, I began working as an assistant teacher in a private international preschool in New York CIty. I callaborated on and preformed the curriculum for the German speaking summer camp and the after school program. I love working with children and especially enjoy helping them discover their abilities, self-confidance, and exploring their world.
