Welcome Back, Senora Amanda!

When multiple families reach out to me and say "We know this teacher, and she's AMAZING! You have to get her over here!" a director listens!! That's exactly how Mrs. Amanda came to us. She has just completed her first full year with us and, MAN! what an addition she has been. She leads an engaging fun Spanish 1 course for the 2025-2026 school year helping many of our high school students earn a foreign language credit. In the Spring, she and I were discussing an engaging history program for our own children and it seemed natural to offer it to other students. Her American Girl Doll History class was small, but a HUGE hit. Her students were excited to read the stories of different American Girl Dolls at home and then participate in discussions and activities inspired by the books. We can't take credit for the idea or creating the curriculum, that goes to www.littleschoolofsmiths.com. Students came running in with smiles every week, my own daughter included.

This year, we are excited to welcome Mrs. Amanda back to offer Spanish 1, Spanish 2, and now an ELEMENTARY Spanish vocab and culture course. I've sat nearby this week while she leads a Spanish Camp and the kids have been happy, engaged, and learning through fun. This is going to be a great addition to our educational offerings.
